What Services
Are Included

Being a Member Patient at St. Luke’s Family Practice provides you with direct access to your personal physician. After your annual membership payment, there are no additional charges or co-pays from our office. We cover office visits, pediatric care, newborn exams, well-child checks, sport physicals, hospital visits, visits to assisted living and board and care homes, and even house calls when necessary.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

In Office Tests and Procedures

Basic office lab studies, including urinalysis, blood sugar, urine pregnancy tests, hemoglobin, INR tests for patient on blood thinners, electrocardiograms (EKG), basic breathing tests, and hearing screenings
Strep, COVID, and Influenza Rapid Antigen testing
Basic skin procedures, including sutures and skin biopsies
Splints and casts for fractures and sprains
Basic durable medical equipment supplies at no additional cost: crutches, slings, wrist and knee splints, ankle braces, walking boots
We do not draw blood or perform X-rays in our office.

House Calls

We will make house calls for Member Patients when necessary.
We cannot always make house calls on an urgent basis, and some planning ahead is usually required.
There is a homebound rate for Member Patients who receive the majority of their care at home; however, we will occasionally see our “ambulatory” Member Patients at home on an “as needed” basis at no additional charge.
We do not make house calls for simple convenience, only when medically necessary.

Hospital Visits

Our doctors have privileges at Modesto’s Doctor’s Medical Center and Memorial Medical Center.
If you are admitted to our local hospital, Dr. Heck and Dr. Kiesel will be part of your healthcare team.
We cannot provide hospital care outside of Modesto.
The choice of hospital is a decision based upon your wishes, your insurance coverage, bed availability, and the needs of any consultant physicians involved.

Women’s Health

Routine well woman exams, including pap smears, breast exams, pelvic exams, and most common gynecologic primary care problems
We do not provide OB or prenatal care.

The care at St. Luke’s Family Practice is very convenient. It’s great to get what you need right away, through a text or phone call to your doctor, and if you need to be seen in the office, you can see the doctor within hours of calling. It’s a huge time saver to have this type of access to your doctor. You’re not waiting days for an email response or test results, or weeks for an in-person appointment or waiting in a doctor’s office waiting room or ER with other sick patients. If you’re a worrier, that’s a huge benefit!
